Connecting to "eduroam"

Please select your device’s operating system below for instructions on how to use automatically connect to the UF "eduroam" network.

Windows

1. Connect to the "ufgetonline" network.

Warning: Once you are connected to the "eduroam" network, you need to go back into your wifi settings and forget the "ufgetonline" network to avoid connecting to it in the future.

2. Open a new web browser window and navigate to getonline.ufl.edu.

3. Click the "Laptops & Mobile Devices" button.

4. Select "Windows 10 & Above" from the drop-down menu and then click the "Join Wireless" button.

5. Navigate to your "downloads" folder and open the SecureW2 software that was just downloaded.

6. In the box that opens, enter your GatorLink username in the format GatorLink@ufl.edu and enter your GatorLink password.

7. Click the "next" button.

The program will attempt to authenticate your credentials and if successful, you will see a screen stating "Configuration succeeded. You may close this window." You are now connected to the "eduroam" wireless network.

macOS

1. Connect to the "ufgetonline" network.

Warning: Once you are connected to the "eduroam" network, you need to go back into your wifi settings and forget the "ufgetonline" network to avoid connecting to it in the future.

2. Open a new web browser window and navigate to getonline.ufl.edu.

3. Click the "Laptops & Mobile Devices" button.

4. Select "macOS" from the drop-down menu and then click the "Join Wireless" button.

5. Navigate to your "downloads" folder and open the SecureW2 software that was just downloaded.

6. In the box that opens, enter your GatorLink username in the format GatorLink@ufl.edu and enter your GatorLink password.

7. Click the "next" button.

8. The program will prompt you to install the wireless profile. Follow the instructions in the prompts.

iOS

1. Connect to the "ufgetonline" network.

Warning: Once you are connected to the "eduroam" network, you need to go back into your wifi settings and forget the "ufgetonline" network to avoid connecting to it in the future.

2. Open a new web browser window and navigate to getonline.ufl.edu.

3. Click the "Laptops & Mobile Devices" button.

4. In the box that opens, enter your GatorLink username in the format GatorLink@ufl.edu and enter your GatorLink password.

5. You will be prompted to install the wireless profile. Click the "Install" button in the top right corner.

6. Once the profile is installed you're device should auto connect to the "eduroam" network. If it doesn't, go back to your network settings and select "eduroam" from the list of available networks.

Android

Tip: Before attempting to connect to "eduroam" you will need to go to the google play store and download the SecureW2 app using your phone providers data connection or the "ufguest" network.

1. If you have already downloaded the SecureW2 app, you can skip this step. Using your phones data or connecting to "ufguest" network open a browser and navigate to getonline.ufl.edu. Click the "Laptops & Mobile Devices" button. Click the "Download" button to be taken to the Google Play store to download the SecureW2 app.

2. Once you have the SecureW2 app, open the app and input your GatorLink username in the format GatorLink@ufl.edu and your GatorLink password.

3. You will be prompted to save the network profile, click the "save" button.

4. Once you have saved the configuration, you will see a success screen stating that you are now configured for "eduroam."
