Identity and Access Management

Identity Access Management (IAM) is an authoritative association of people with identifiers such as ID numbers and ID cards, access credentials such as usernames/passwords and authorization to access data and services. Identity Access Management is fundamental for providing access to university services.

Network

Network Infrastructure ties everything together by connecting individual workstations, servers, and networks to each other. This involves hardware, software, and wires. Concomitant with networking itself are the areas of telephony and network security. These three components work hand-in-hand to provide UF with a healthy, redundant, state-of-the-art computer communications environment. Network Infrastructure offers campus and state-wide network and Internet access including the UF Campus Core Backbone, Florida LambdaRail (FLR) and Internet2, Network Hardware & Configuration support. Ways to connect include Direct Connection, Wireless, VPN, and Walk-Up Ethernet.
