ETD Technical Support is provided by the Application Support Center at the UF Computing Help Desk. We provide formatting support for UF graduate students while they prepare and submit their dissertation or thesis to the Graduate School Editorial Office. This is accomplished by providing informational seminars, formatting templates, online tutorials and one-on-one consultation (walk-in as available and by appointment). We're located with the UF Computing Help Desk in Hub 132. To contact us (or to make an appointment for consultation), please submit a ticket here or call us at 392-HELP (option 5) and ask for an appointment to review thesis or dissertation formatting.
Full instructional design and development assistance is available to faculty for fully online, flipped, hybrid, and traditional face-to-face courses. Instructional designers provide recommendations for student engagement and assessment, guidance on accessibility and ADA compliance, suggestions for streamlining course management and efficiency, advice for selecting and implementing learning tools, data collection and analysis for course or program improvement, video and multimedia assistance, and consultations for customized services. Assistance is also available for mapping existing or new curricula. Services are available to instructors, administrators, and staff at the University of Florida, including graduate students and post-doctoral associates.
Captioning of instructional video content for accessibility; federal laws require that reasonable accommodations must be made in the instructional process to ensure equal educational opportunity to individuals with disabilities. To meet this requirement, UF has implemented the "Disability Accommodation Request" process for students to formally alert instructors of their accommodation needs.
